Expansion at International Airports in Slovakia 

Slovakia’s air connectivity is expanding rapidly, with both Bratislava Airport and Košice Airport adding new routes and increasing flight frequencies. Bratislava is seeing strong growth through new airline bases and a wider range of direct international connections. At the same time, Košice is strengthening its network with additional links to key European cities and more frequent services. The domestic Bratislava–Košice route is also playing a growing role in improving national mobility. Together, these developments are making Slovakia more accessible for both business and leisure travel.

Bratislava International Airport 

Domestic flight Bratislava – Košice 

  • Domestic connection bridging western and eastern Slovakia via route Bratislava International Airprt (BTS) to Košice International Airport (KSC) 
  • From 21 March 2026 the airline will increase its weekly flights on the route from 9 to 13 times per week. The route will operate with twice a day including a morning and an evening flight on all days of the week except for Wednesday. 

New connections 

  • Bratislava to Berlin and Dortmund by Wizz Air from the 16 March 2026 
  • Berlin route  serviced 4 times per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday 
  • Dortmund route serviced 3 times per week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 
  • Ryanair plans 10 new routes for the summer 2026 namely Alicante, Athens, Barcelona, Lamezia Terme, Malaga, Naples, Palermo, Pisa, Tirana and Warsaw Modlin 
  • Wizz Air opened 9 new routes and plans to add 6 more for the summer 2026 calendar namely:
    • From January 2026 added connections include Chisinau, Yerevan, Kutaisi, Larnaca 
    • From March 2026 connections include Berlin, Dortmund, Nice, Ohrid, Pristina, Rome Fiumicino, Tirana, Tuzla and Warsaw Chopin 
    • From April 2026 Tel Aviv (depending on current situation) 
    • From May 21 2026 Podgorica 
    • From June 8 2026  Mykonos  
  • Ryanair will offer total of 33 routes from Bratislava International Airport and Wizz air will offer total of 31 routes

Košice International Airport offers 12 routes to Ireland, the UK, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, Italy, Spain and domestic connection to Bratislava.
