In the upcoming few months SLOVAKIA TRAVEL will be organizing FAM TRIPS to take interested tour operators and travel agencies around Slovakia.
Each FAM trip is fully funded, inclusive of flights (to and from), transport, accommodation, meals, sights and activities. Each FAM trip includes a 2-3 hour networking session where you can meet local businesses. The language of the FAM trip is specified for each FAM trip.
For the FAM trips listed below, we are focusing on tour operators with European clients.

- After the deadline for each FAM trip, SLOVAKIA TRAVEL will contact selected applicants
- A formal application will be forwarded to selected applicants
Please note: Filling out the form under the link I AM INTERESTED, does not constitute an application or right to attend a FAM trip. All applicants will be reviewed and assessed. SLOVAKIA TRAVEL, as the organizer, has to formally approve all applicants before a place on a FAM trip is secured. FAM trips are fully funded except for items such as minibar, souvenirs and alcoholic beverages, which are not included in the costs covered by SLOVAKIA TRAVEL.

Winter wonderland made for skiing
Regions: High Tatras and Low Tatras
Dates: 10.3. – 14.3.2025

Itinerary highlights
- Ski and relax in two resorts in central and northern Slovakia
- Ski to your hearts content in Low Tatras, at the Jasná Nízke Tatry resort which is located in the heart of Slovakia. The resort offers 34 km of all types of trails, from blue to black, suitable for beginners, families with children, as well as for advanced skiers. Fans of wild rides can enjoy 12 free ride zones, a great snow park, and Fun Zone. You get to the top of Mt. Chopok by ultra-modern cableways – the 24-person Funitel or 15-person gondolas. The winter season typically lasts from the beginning of December to the end of April.
- Alpine panoramas of the High Tatras offer 24 km of well-groomed ski slopes and guarantee snow for 5 months a year. 20 modern cable cars and ski lifts will take you high up to the clouds in the resorts of Tatranská Lomnica, Štrbské Pleso and Starý Smokovec. Good Apres Ski fun in every resort and ecological SKI bus transport from the hotel to the slope.
- Cross-country skiing in the High Tatras region has 61 km of groomed tracks, the biggest cross-country skiing resort in Slovakia varying from easy to medium-difficult trails.

Culture, gastronomy and spa

Itinerary highlights
- Arrive at Vienna international airport, which is only 45min ride away from capital of Slovakia – Bratislava
- Explore history of Bratislava, once a coronation city for the Hungarian kings, now vibrant modern city
- Step into the past in the Bratislava region, once home to noble families that shaped the economy far beyond the region’s borders. Explore historic landmarks in Pezinok and Svätý Jur. These places offer a fascinating blend of rich history and modern-day luxury.
- Savor the taste of the Bratislava region, renowned for its vineyards and exceptional wines. Wine-tasting tours in Pezinok, Svätý Jur or Modra will introduce you to unique grape varieties found only in Slovakia.
- Taste roasted goose, a culinary heritage that dates back to the 19th century, village is renowned for its unique method of roasting geese in wood-fired ovens, which gives the meat a distinct, smoky flavor
- Take a break at an island that is dedicated to spa procedures, relax in Piešťany with its historical spa houses and exceptional architecture
- Discover a place where ceramics are created with a unique charm, proudly representing Slovakia both locally and abroad. At a folk majolica workshop in Modra, you can not only admire the craft but also try your hand at making ceramics yourself.

Nature and culture

Dates: 2.6. – 8.6.2025 (7 days)

Itinerary highlights
- Arrive at Vienna international airport, which is only 45min ride away from capital of Slovakia – Bratislava
- Explore history of Bratislava, once a coronation city for the Hungarian kings, now vibrant modern city
- Explore European Capital of Culture 2026, city of Trenčín, with majestic castle, synagogue and spa towns nearby
- Ride a bike on the Váh Cycling Route, which offers picturesque views of villages, while the „On the Tracks of History“ cycling path connects important historical landmarks
- Hike in the Lesser Fatra National Park and explore splendid nature
- Be adventurous and try Via Ferrata HZS at Martinské hole, a hiking trail through the valley of the Pivovarský brook with the necessary equipment
- Don’t miss Bojnice Castle, renowned for its fairy-tale appearance and rich history, making it a must-see royal destination
- Visit the unique painted log houses in Čičmany village
- Relax in a spa with historical spa houses and exceptional architecture
- Visit Orava Castle, built on a rock above the Orava river in Oravský Podzámok like an “eagle nest”, one of the greatest tourist attractions of northern Slovakia
- Wonder at the skill and perseverance of those who built the wooden articulate evangelical church from 1688 in Leštiny

Off the beaten path

Dates: 22.9. – 26.9.2025 (5 days)

- Step into the underground and visit UNESCO natural sites Ochtinská Aragonite Cave, Domica or Gombasek and observe spectacular nature
- Marvel at medieval murals while visiting Gothic churches recognized by the European Heritage Label (EHL)
- Visit a manor house in Betliar
- Try to catch a glimpse of ground squirrels and look for wooden giants at a family park in Muráň
- Observe the night sky with professional astronomers in Muránska planina National park – Dark sky park
- Experience modern interactive museum of literature, Litterra in Revúca, in the building of the first Slovak literary grammar school
- Enjoy traditional Slovak dishes at the authentic challet in Zbojská
- Tour through a unique magnesite mine in Jelšava and discover historical features of this area

MICE FAM TRIP

- Walk some of the best marked walking paths in the world in the High Tatras, marvel at breathtaking views of high mountains (up to 2655 meters above sea level)
- Experience a water world where you can relax and recharge in the town of Poprad
- Discover Slovak gastronomy and enjoy locally crafted wines and beers
